• suitable for both internal and external use
• access rights are saved on the card rather than the reader (when combined with online validators, access rights can be changed remotely and user activities monitored)
• allows standalone or online readers to be incorporated at strategic points in the facility
• in online mode these strategically placed readers can also be used as validators, with access rights contained on the card modified as required and with the ability to monitor the use of each credential
• at the point of card issuing, access rights to each point can be programmed onto the card
• contactless technology allows the door to be opened simply by bringing the card close to the reader (thereby minimising repair and maintenance costs)
