Fire Systems - Disabled Refuge Comms

Buildings with more than one storey must be equipped with a refuge point* on each designated landing to comply with UK building control regulations.

* a location where those who are unable to descend the stairs unaided to evacuate the building in an emergency following an automatic shutdown of the lifts may await assistance.

The refuge system provides a fire-resistant method of remotely indicating a presence at each refuge point, and providing audio communication between each refuge point and a central unit at one or more key locations on the ground floor.

We provide a range of BS compliant** disabled refuge communications systems for such situations, with all building sizes catered for.

** BS5588 and BS5839 Part 9 Building Control Regulations, and BS58300:2009
