Project background:
Abbey Retail Park is a highly successful retail park located close to Abbeycentre, just North of Belfast and hosts a number of high profile tenants including Tesco, B&Q, Currys PC World and Carpetright.
Scan Alarms are proud to have won the landlords tender to upgrade the existing analogue CCTV covering the external public areas and communal service yard to a new IP Full HD system. It was particularly pleasing as Scan won the original contract to install the analogue system when the retail park was being constructed in 2002 and continued to maintain the system to a high standard throughout its sixteen year life cycle.
Our solution:
The new system utilizes NVT equipment for IP transmission over extended runs of existing ducted co-axial cables following extensive continuity and bandwidth capability testing and incorporates a number of static cameras together with the latest 180 and 360-degree external panoramic cameras, each incorporating infra-red LED lighting, video analytics and a full function pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) camera to assist with live visual patrols.
