Intelligent fire suppression with Jactone PAFSS

The Jactone PAFSS (Pneumatically Actuated Fire Suppression Systems) technology provides a highly effective and efficient solution for detecting a fire at source and extinguishing it at an early stage before the fire fully develops. This helps to minimise the damage of assets and enable a quicker recovery.

The principles of PAFSS operation

At the heart of the Jactone PAFSS system is a detection tubing which provides a linear heat or flame detector. The specially designed pressurised tubing that upon flame or heat impingement, the tube will depressurise and allow the cylinder valve to open meaning the flame is suppressed. This is a very direct and efficient system for the suppression of a fire before it becomes to big to handle.

Direct Systems

The direct system that Jactone offers is a efficient and simple self activation system that is ideal for small or enclosed areas.

Upon flame impingement, the tube will rupture at the hottest point causing the tube to depressurise and allow the valve to open on the fire suppression cylinder.

Jactone offers the direct system in a low pressure and high pressure format. Which one is best will depend on the most appropriate extinguishing agent that will be used.

Indirect Systems

The indirect system that Jactone offers is a efficient and simple self activation system that is ideal for large or even open areas.

Upon flame impingement, the tube will rupture at the hottest point causing the tube to depressurise and allow the valve to open on the fire suppression cylinder. The agent being used is then released within a separate pipe and is then targeted on the identified hazard.

The indirect system is also available in both high and low pressure formats. Which one is best will depend on the most appropriate extinguishing agent that will be used.
